    Description
    Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a

    Sr. Platform Engineer

    to architect, automate, test, and deploy a ground satellite operations software in Kubernetes for our client in

    Los Angeles, CA.

    This is a

    Remote

    position.

    The candidate will implement practices to enable DevSecOps with a focus on security and compliance for SOC2, NIST , and FedRAMP Medium controls.

    This position is for a self-starter who has initiative and wants to build something awesome

    Technical Requirements:
    Expertise managing Kubernetes-based architecture and providing platform infrastructure in a production environment
    Strong proficiency developing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) solutions using Terraform or alternative tools
    Proficiency in Python and experience working with software teams developing distributed microservice software capabilities
    Working knowledge of monitoring tools such as New Relic, DataDog, Splunk, AWS CloudWatch or similar
    Familiarity with cloud services in AWS (preferred) / Azure / GCP and ability to make trades on cloud native vs self-hosted software capabilities
    Working knowledge of monitoring tools such as New Relic, DataDog, Splunk, AWS CloudWatch or similar
    Understanding of networking using VPN's, NLB/ALB's, HTTPS, TLS, and CDN
    Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, containerized applications, and serverless architecture
    Strong knowledge of designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting APIs services, distributed NoSQL and relational databases, caching systems, event-driven and multi-tier architectures
    Strong knowledge of task automation and CI/CD pipeline building, preferably with GitHub actions but not required
    Understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems
    Knowledge of cloud security best practices and cost-effective cloud architecture
    Use of identity and access management via Auth0 or Okta
    Familiarity with Git and GitHub or similar framework for version control

    Requirements Include:
    5+ Years of relevant experience
    Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance
    Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or alike field

    Compensation Includes:
    $145,000 - $186,000

    *Depending on Experience*Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Holidays, PTO, etc
