We are on the lookout for a talented Platform Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA. This role necessitates an active TS/SCI clearance due to the sensitive nature of the projects involved.


    Position Summary:


    As a Platform Engineer at N3bula Systems, you will play a crucial role in deploying and managing a sophisticated platform that incorporates a wide array of technologies, including Kubernetes, Rancher, NiFi, Kafka, Zookeeper, GitLab, MinIO, KeyCloak, Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Promtail, node exporter, bind dns, 389ds, FreeIPA, Dogtag Certificate Service, and Harvester.

    Your work will be pivotal in constructing and deploying systems within a depot environment designed for reliability, scalability, and security.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Architect, deploy, and oversee a platform utilizing Puppet and Ansible for streamlined automation and configuration.
    Collaborate with both development and operations teams to ensure the platform aligns with both business and technical requirements.
    Implement and maintain key technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher, NiFi, Kafka, Zookeeper, etc.
    Integrate platform security features through KeyCloak, FreeIPA, and Dogtag Certificate Service.
    Monitor platform performance using tools like Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, and Promtail.
    Automate processes and foster CI/CD pipeline development using GitLab.
    Offer technical leadership in technology stack decisions and implementation for the depot.
    Address and solve complex technical problems.
    Document architectural designs and operational best practices.
    This role includes travel to support various project needs.


    Qualifications:
    Active TS/SCI clearance.
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
    Deep expertise in Kubernetes, Rancher, and associated technologies deployment and management.
    Proficiency in Puppet and Ansible for automation and configuration.
    Solid background in Linux/Unix administration.
    Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, and Promtail.
    Understanding of network security, identity management with KeyCloak, FreeIPA, and Dogtag Certificate Service.
    Knowledgeable in CI/CD practices, especially with GitLab.
    Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    Willingness to travel as needed.
