    SummaryThis position is located in the Architect of the Capitol, Senate Office Buildings, Assistant Superintendent Client Services Division, Special Functions Unit is seeking a reliable and independent Materials Handler to perform day-to-day operation of the warehouse in completing task such verifying receipts, storage and delivery of furniture and furnishings.

    DutiesWork schedule may require some occasionally mandatory overtime on holidays AND weekends.


    Responsibilities:
    As assigned, receives, stores and delivers a diverse range of products, tables, chairs, podiums and other materials.
    Sets up and breaks down committee hearing rooms and offices for different hearing and events.
    Verifies receipt of furniture and indicates the quality and quantity of items received. Delivers different items such as podiums, easels, partitions, risers to various committee rooms and event spaces.
    Operates hand truck, pallet jacks, dollies and cherry picker. Performs incidental driving of flatbed trucks weighing less than 26,000 lbs.

    Utilizes a shrink wrap machine, banding machine and other material handling equipment to deliver stock to storage areas, warehouse facilities or job sites.

    May operate motor vehicles including a crew cab pickup, sedan, panel and flatbed truck, carryalls, jeep and station wagon which have a GVW of less than 26,000 pounds.

    Responsible for utilizing a thorough knowledge of and compliance with applicable AOC and OSHA safety rules and regulations to ensure that work progresses in a safe manner and to initiate or take corrective action on unsafe conditions in managed areas.

    Performs other duties as assigned.
