- Maintains a decent, safe and sanitary living environment in the building.
- Responsible for the upkeep of the mechanical systems of non-SAFETy Programs' sites.
- Maintains records, prepares reports, including but not limited to: Log of Maintenance request and work orders.
- Assists in scheduling and monitoring repairs of outside contractors.
- Performs weekly checks of all HHCS vehicle logs to ensure driver completion and identification of any related maintenance needs/issues.
- Performs weekly engine checks of all HHCS vehicles to ensure vehicles are operational and drivable.
- Transports all related vehicles for repairs, emissions tests, maintenance appointments and coordinates any tow related pickups and drops offs.
- Oversees Scheduled Maintenance and Upkeep of vehicles.
- Attends required meetings.
- Attends required training programs.
- Attends 30 hours of update maintenance training annually.
- Reports hazardous or emergency conditions and identifies maintenance and repair needs.
- Responds to emergency situations, with authority to identify and implement solutions based upon perceived risk participant's safety or property's financial loss.
- Performs and schedules preventive maintenance with vendors.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma, two years of technical training, and three years of relevant experience or High school diploma and five years of relevant experience.
- A criminal background check is required for employees working for Heartland Human Care Services.
- Must have valid Illinois Driver's License.

- Ability and comfortability working with people of varying socioeconomic backgrounds.

- Each program site operates on a 24/7 basis, 365 days per year. To meet both the needs of our participants and contractual obligations, employees are required to be flexible in regards to scheduling and work location.
- Program sites are located throughout the Chicago area, including the North and South sides of Chicago, as well as the suburbs. Employees may be required to report to any one of our locations on a temporary or permanent basis.

Join our team as the driving force behind facility maintenance and fleet management As the Fleet and Maintenance Support Tech at Heartland Human Care Services, you'll be crucial in ensuring a safe and clean environment for our operations. Working under the guidance of the Associate Director, you'll perform a variety of maintenance tasks, respond to emergencies, and manage our fleet maintenance and compliance needs. Duties & Responsibilities
Maintenance and Facilities
Coordination and performance of scheduled maintenance to systems.
Coordination and performance of emergency maintenance to systems
Fleet Maintenance/Management
Preventative Maintenance
Non-Routine Repairs
Emergency Repairs
Monitor all vehicle repairs needs and assessments via Samsara reporting and coordinate all repairs/services (as needed); perform monthly checks of all interiors of the vehicles to ensure cleanliness and compliance.
