Description
Job TitleCustomer Service RepresentativeSummary/ObjectiveTo deliver high-quality customer service to all individuals who come into or call the AHSTI's NeighborWorks Homeownership Center efficiently and expeditiously and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Deliver high-quality customer service to all individuals who come into or call the AHSTI NeighborWorks Homeownership Center.
Direct customers to the appropriate department for assistance.
Assist customers as needed to complete documents or tasks related to their service.
Accurately and timely enter data, notes, etc. into Customer Management systems in accordance to service delivery manual.
Recommend improvements in products and procedures as necessary to ensure the optimum efficiency and effectiveness of the service delivery system.
Provide proper documentation for walk-ins and ensure sign-in/once completed, CSR/coordinator will review and complete.Assist with the maintenance and updating of kiosks and bulletin boards within the center, featuring partners, required literature, and center activities.
Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information.Assist with evening and weekend classes as needed.
Participate in special events throughout the year, outside of regular office hours.
Prepare reception area snacks according to pre-discussed schedule.
Maintain inventory of reception area snacks and fulfill orders when necessary.
Maintain and wash cooking sheets, popcorn machines, and cookie oven.
Maintain an organized front reception area, including lobby.
Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkSome flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the core work hours of the organization, including Saturday rotations, and is expected to work a minimum of 40 hours each week.
This position is expected to start duties at 7:45AM.During assigned extended hour rotation, employee is expected to work until 6PM Tuesday and Thursday, and 9am to 1pm on Saturday.
TravelOccasional travel outside of the area may be required for this position.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from an accredited institution.2 or more years of experience in customer service and clerical management dutiesFluent in Spanish and English languages in both written and verbal styles.
Preferred QualificationsTwo years college coursework from an accredited college/university preferred.Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
Ability to quickly learn other software products as implemented in the Company and department.
Ability to handle multiple projects/files at one time in an efficient and effective manner.
Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to positively represent the agency and to interact professionally with all employees, customers, and outside entities.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.Work Authorization/Security ClearanceNone.
