    Job Description Summary
    The CLINIC MANAGER for Penn Dental Medicine's Division of Pediatric Dentistry position is responsible for oversight of clinic operations and workflows at its main location as well as its CHOP clinic. Responsibilities include: schedule/rotation management; inventory management; and ensuring compliance is adhered in all workflows/processes.

    This position will report to the
    Division Chief, with a dotted line to the Division's Residency Program Director and Director of the PENN Predoctoral Pediatric Dentistry.

    Job Description

    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Manage scheduling of pediatric dentistry patients at the predoctoral and residency sections of the pediatric dentistry clinic at PDM and the sedation suite at PDM as well as PENN pediatric dentistry patients for sedation or general anesthesia at CHOP.
    • Supervise administrative, clerical and clinic staff; including, but not limited to: performance evaluations, professional development/training, orientation, and communication of Departmental goals and mission.
    • Organization and coordination of the schedules of the PDM pediatric dentistry staff, residents, students and attendings at the PDM-pediatric clinic, the PDM-sedation suite as well as the CHOP dental clinic and CHOP operating room. This also included overseeing the scheduling of the rotations of Pediatric Dentistry residents and PDM and CHOP.
    • Monitor and manage inventory, including ordering and approving supplies received by the Division and pediatric dentistry related supplies at the CHOP Dental Clinic. Oversee Division's client management, insurance claims, process and collection for patient billing and management of client complaints.
    • Provide leadership and communication regarding university/school/departmental/clinical/patient- related information to staff, faculty, residents and predoctoral students. In close collaboration with Division leadership, develop processes/workflows to operations as needed. Oversee compliance with university, school, departmental and clinical policies. Serve as key administrator in the clinic of all infection control and OSHA regulations and issues by working closely with the PDM Coordinator of Quality Assurance and the Director of Infection Control. Ensure that all staff is HIPAA and AACO compliant.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.


    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of managing a dental clinic required.

    Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.

    Strong, proven leadership skills.

    Effective organizational and computer skills.

    Experience and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
