    **Description**

    **This position is currently eligible for a $500 Sign-On Bonus**

    Greets and welcomes guests with five-star hospitality and courtesy standards.

    Oversees seating/server rotation when seating guests.

    Verifies and makes reservations via open table.

    Maintains a waiting list when necessary.

    Performs other duties as required to exceed guests expectations in a five-star dining environment.

    **JOB REQUIREMENTS:**

    6 months to one year of food service or restaurant experience.

    Previous host/hostess and open table experience in a five-star restaurant is a plus.

    Demonstrated excellent public contact skills

    Must be available to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

    Ability to: (1) interact effectively with guests, employees and supervisors; (2) maintain standards listed below

    In accordance with child labor laws, applicants must be 16 years of age in order to work various schedules

    **Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:**

    Lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds

    Working while standing for long periods of time

    **STANDARDS:** Maintain a positive, enthusiastic outlook; smile and greet guests, employees, managers, and supervisors; show respect for and cooperate at all times with those for whom and with whom you work; report to work as scheduled and on time; meet appearance standards; perform assigned tasks accurately and on time.

    **The Williamsburg Inn:**

    The Inn was built in 1937 by John D. Rockefeller, Jr., who envisioned an exquisite lodging and dining experience for visitors to his extensive restoration of Virginia's colonial capital. A member of Preferred Hotels and Resorts Worldwide and a National Trust for Historic Preservation Historic Hotel of America, the Four Star, Four Diamond Williamsburg Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
