    The

    Information Technology Services Department

    is seeking a

    Full Time

    (40 hours/week), motivated Business Systems Analyst professional with strong analytical skills, a passion for our students and a desire to make a difference at RWU. This individual will be self driven, an outside the box thinker who is dedicated to maximize our "customer value" to our students. We are looking for someone who likes challenges and the effort required to solve them. Strong communication skills, possess a positive attitude at all times, adaptable and growth minded and someone who understands the inner-workings of higher education business processes impacting students, faculty and staff. They care how work gets done and are invested in supporting our diverse business and academic teams.


    Job Responsibilities:


    Serve as a subject matter expert for core Administrative Business Applications including Power Campus, Admit Gold, Management Reporter, Slate, PowerFaids, Nelnet QuickPay, Management Reporter, EdConnect, Great Plains, HTML and Powershell scripting.

    Be familiar with the student support processes of the institution in Admissions, Registration, Student Billing and Student engagement.
    Support campus reporting needs across multiple areas and products.
    Support Month end, quarter end and Year end activities where appropriate.
    Join forces IT Services and Administrative user group teams to strategize and execute seamless product implementations and upgrades.

    Collaborate closely with IT peers, as well as academic and administrative counterparts, to craft tailored testing and implementation strategies, offering adept guidance and steadfast support throughout the process.

    After any implementation, lead or support project initiatives to expand the usage of the solution to improve and expand processes across the institution
    Support the identification of opportunities to standardize processes and system configurations across the university, and work with Academic and Administrative teams to ensure compliance across all implementations to defined standards
    Analyze business/technical requirements and translate processes into practice through the current systems, specifically PowerCampus and Slate.
    Develop, prototype, test and implement solution improvements to increase stability, usability, and functionality, where applicable and allowable by the user systems, to enable end users to meet business objectives

    Data integration across multiple systems:
    We allow departments to get best in class software for their areas.

    This puts a responsibility on the IT Team to provide seamless integration of Data across multiple applications for them to function within the RWU environments.

    The Business Analyst will be critical in understanding the needs of upstream and downstream systems and work with external vendors and internal IT team members to create appropriate data bridges across these systems.

    This will include managing data transfer needs from and to applications as well as data migrations and system to system data exchange activities as applicable.

    Conduct knowledge transfer and training of end-users, including sharing best practices where applicable.

    Be an integral part of a larger University wide team to implement a 360 degree view for Student engagement and Student success.

    Supporting processes and tools designed to support and impact students once they are on our campus.

    Understand and continue to evolve in the role and importance of technologies towards the student experience, from the first time they raise their hand to come to Roberts to the time they Graduate.

    Troubleshoot user problems and provide user support and training as applicable.

    Manage gaps in application functionality and user requirements through procedures and process changes and in-house application component development (usually reports).

    Develop application/reporting requirements where applicable
    Where applicable, work with other IT programmers to develop the solutions.
    Provide non-Programmer level Application systems administration where applicable.
    Manage the application implementation and application upgrades.

    The approved salary for this position is $58,458.40/annually.

    Requirements

    Bachelor's or advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field. Knowledge of Slate in Higher Education Admissions. Knowledge and experience in Academic Applications such as Admissions, Registration and Student Financial Aid environments. Knowledge of Windows environment, Windows based client server applications support, relational databases & their support. Knowledge and experience in Business Applications integration into End User functions. I.e.

    experience in learning how users use business functions and experience in implementing and supporting business applications that support user functions.

    Knowledge and experience in Application troubleshooting. Good oral and written communication skills. Good organizational skills. Ability to work within deadlines. Work well in a team environment. Able to multitask well. Good problem-solving skills. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate cultural competence and must value the principles of diversity and equity.
