    Principal Risk Associate, IT Audit

As a Principal Risk Specialist at Capital One you'll be responsible for working with business partners to identify and mitigate potential risks to Capital One. Principal Risk Specialists at Capital One are the front line of defense to ensure our Company remains stable and profitable.
    Principal Risk Specialists at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent organizational and communication skills. They have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to create and implement innovative solutions to identify and mitigate potential risks to the Company.
    Responsibilities:

    • Drive and coordinate effort across the division to regularly validate the resiliency and recoverability of the division's portfolio of applications that support the Enterprise associate experience
    • Support internal audit, regulatory exams, and related governance processes by fulling requests and driving and coordinating remediation of any gaps identified through those activities
    • Effectively challenge first line of defense partners and collaborate with second line of defense (Compliance, Legal, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management and Tech Risk Management)
    • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and enhance our risk management practices and processes
    • Create engaging, persuasive communications to diverse stakeholder groups, using varied channels, leveraging data where applicable, to drive action, and ensure alignment, visibility
    • Drive and support BAU and ad hoc projects in support of organizational objectives and key results


    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
    • At least 3 years of risk management experience


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 3+ years process management experience
    • 3+ years Agile Delivery Lead experience or project management experience or PMP certification
    • 4+ years risk management experience
    • 2+ years internal or external audits and external regulator exams
    • Experience working with a broad base of partners and stakeholders including senior leadership
    • 1+ years of experience in AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud services space
