    About the role:


    Boston Scientific is seeking a Communications Manager who will play a pivotal role in enhancing and amplifying our employer brand, mission and values to current and prospective employees.

    The ideal candidate is a passionate storyteller and proven communications strategist, who will have the responsibility to develop and execute communications that inform and inspire.

    The selected candidate must be willing to work in a hybrid capacity, spending 2-3 days per week on average at the company's Marlborough, MA, Arden Hills, MN, or Maple Grove, MN office.

    This is an individual contributor position that will report to the director, Global Environmental, Social and Governance and Culture Communications, and collaborate with global cross-functional teams in human resources (HR), global corporate communications and brand.


    Your responsibilities include:


    Collaborate with the talent acquisition, corporate communications and brand teams to evolve and amplify the company's employee value proposition, engaging current and attracting prospective employees through culture-driven storytelling and integrated communication strategies.

    Serve as counselor and trusted adviser to HR leaders, business partners and global colleagues to advise on organizational messaging and communication strategies to advance functional and business objectives.

    Develop broad-based leadership communications for the Executive Vice President of HR and HR program leaders, including key program communications and messaging that resonate with a global audience through emails, videos, presentations, speeches and social media content.

    In partnership with the diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) team, advise on and deliver communications that support our inclusive workplace and DEI goals, including acting as a communications advisor to global and regional Employee Resource Group leaders.

    Understand and contribute to effective change management strategies across HR enterprise initiatives and specific project workstreams.

    Evaluate and create inspiring communications that highlight Boston Scientific as a workplace of choice by leveraging the best channels and methods to achieve agreed upon objectives, including internal social and corporate communications platforms, external facing websites such as the Careers page on , the Boston Scientific newsroom and corporate social media channels.

    Establish measurement tools and reporting to routinely monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication channels and programs.
    Partner with corporate communications teammates to manage and support reputational issues.

    Required Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or another relevant area of study.

    7+ years of relevant employee and leadership communications experience within a corporate or agency environment, ideally with a global focus on healthcare (e.g., medical devices, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology).

    Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.

    Strong understanding of digital platforms that impact communication strategies and the latest digital communication technologies, with a specific emphasis on social media.

    Experience developing and managing high impact, multi-channel integrated communication strategies and plans.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Excellent project management, organizational, planning and time management skills.
    Solutions-oriented, with a willingness to bring new ideas and try new approaches.
    Ability to maintain high productivity while balancing competing priorities.
    Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills; drive to constantly improve through gathering feedback and measuring outcomes.
    Proven ability to provide strategic counsel at all levels of the organization.
    Strong attention to detail and dedication to producing quality work on deadline.
    Demonstrated business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize and translate complex ideas into a digestible format.

    Adept at working in a team environment while also displaying independence, initiative, and enterprise; ability to maintain high productivity while balancing competing priorities.
