    Golf Pro Shop Specialist III

    Position Summary:
    Performs a variety of tasks for the Aspen Golf Course in support of the Recreation Department. This position could also split time and responsibilities with the maintenance staff.

    Supervision Exercised and Received:

    Position works under the supervision of the Head Golf Professional with the assistance of the Professional staff and Golf Specialist team.

    Pay Based Upon Experience (see grades below)

    Golf Pro Shop Specialist I (hourly): $16.66/min - $18.32/mid - $19.99/max
    Golf Pro Shop Specialist II (hourly): $18.41/min - $20.34/mid - $22.19/max
    Golf Pro Shop Specialist III (hourly): $20.35/min - $22.39/mid - $24.42/max


    Essential Job Functions & Duties:
    Customer Service


    Greets and assists visitors while providing positive and informative information to patrons


    Direct guests, in a friendly and helpful manner, to different locations at the club house


    Assists guests with their personal items and golf clubs when needed


    Anticipate guests needs without direction


    Collectively maintain a positive atmosphere during all times and with all guests



    Communicate with guests and the golf shop to start guests for tee times and maintain this pace for the entirety of the day.


    Assists guests on the course such as: helping groups that are falling behind pace, help with directions on the course, and providing a fun helpful atmosphere
    Golf Operations


    Assists with the daily arrangement and organization of club house custodial duties:o

    Assist the teaching professionals with needed equipment
    o

    Assist with staging the course, carts and driving range for tournaments and events
    o

    Assist monitoring golf cart maintenance and reporting any accidents or damage
    o

    Custodial responsibilities for the club house

    Skills in promoting products, services, and events


    Knowledge of basic business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people


    Ability to communicate concisely and effectively through a variety of methods such as: email, telephone, and verbally


    Ability to recognize problems and effectively work independently or with others to reach a viable solution


    Ability to effectively and efficiently provide exceptional customer service and possess the ability to take necessary steps to assist customers with their needs with a pleasant attitude


    Possesses interpersonal skills including understanding, friendliness, courtesy, tact, empathy, cooperation, concern, and politeness to others and relates well to different people from varied backgrounds and different situations
    Other duties and expectations as assigned.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Education:
    High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

    Experience:
    Must have a minimum of 2 years' work experience in the golf industry

    Technical Knowledge:
    Must be able to promptly reply to phone calls, text messages, and emails in

    Licenses & Certifications:

    Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License or be able to obtain one within 30 days of start date if it is determined that the applicant must drive a vehicle.


    NOTES:

    This position requires a Criminal Background Check upon hire. Employment is contingent upon passing a Criminal Background Check.


    Additional experience or qualifications could substitute for the above requirements at the Head Golf Professionals decision.

    Position Type and Work Hours:

    Regular full time or part time depending on applicant, 16-40 hours per work week, Monday through Sunday, hours may vary with workload.


    Early Mornings & Evenings/Weekends:
    This position requires the applicant to be able to work any day of the week. Hours will vary and include early mornings and evenings.

    Holidays:
    Required to work during holiday periods.

    Work Environment:

    Indoors: Operate golf simulator; Custodial work in the restrooms and locker rooms.

    Essential Physical Requirements:

    Lifting & Carrying: Occasionally up to 50 lbs. such as golf equipment, boxes, equipment, etc.


    Physical: Reaching, standing, sitting, typing, talking, crouching, kneeling, seeing, driving, and hearing.
