- Support Chief Engineer in day-to-day technical tasks including research, analysis, and documentation related to aerospace engineering projects.
- Assist in the coordination and execution of engineering experiments, tests, and simulations under the guidance of the Chief Engineer.
- Maintain accurate records of engineering data and project progress to ensure efficient project management and reporting.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to facilitate communication and ensure alignment on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Provide administrative support to the Chief Engineer, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and preparing technical reports and presentations.
- Liaise with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and management teams to provide updates on work products, identify and resolve issues, and ensure seamless department operations.
- Assist in developing and tracking the Engineering Schedule, including contract deliverables.
- Support project managers by organizing initial project schedules, tracking deliverables, and handling administrative tasks.
- Handle technical tasks for project managers and engineers, including drafting memos, reports, and correspondence, and developing PowerPoint briefings and spreadsheets
- Assist with the creation of bid packages and procurement processes.
- Support AS9100 compliance activities and liaise with quality departments to maintain standards.
- Aid in the preparation and formatting of proposals, subcontractor RFPs, Statements of Work (SOWs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and other related documents.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in an administrative and technical support role within a Manufacturing/Engineering environment.
- Education: Relevant degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, MS Project, Outlook, Explorer). Ability to work independently and complete assignments to a high standard.
- Abilities: Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Capable of managing non-routine and complex projects with minimal instruction. Dependable with a strong work ethic and able to adapt to changing priorities.
