    Vice President of Finance and Office Administration Duties and Responsibilities:

    The Vice President of Finance and Office Administration will report directly to the President/CEO and will be responsible for all finance, accounting, and office administration related activities of the company. They will be responsible for developing and directing the company's analytical, financial plans and policies and will also report on metrics to optimize our growth plans. The accounting department will report to the VP of Finance and Office Administration.

    The VP of Finance and Office Administrations' specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Financial Analysis and Strategy

    • Work with the President/CEO to create an overall financial framework for the company, including financial reporting, financial forecasts, budgeting, and financial metrics to drive growth.
    • Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the president informed of all critical issues.
    • Participate in key decisions as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
    • Advise the President/CEO and other key members of senior management on financial planning budgeting, cash flow, investments, and policy matters.
    • Work with the Executive Leadership Team to set and subsequently hit company financial performance goals.
    • Develop trend analyses to identify key industries and channels for the company to determine optimal financial recommendations to present to senior leaders.
    • Lead in the gathering of data insights and analytics in key business areas (NPD data and Amazon analytics for example.)
    • Work with our client's teams to provide financially driven insights on the development and management of our client's activities and initiatives including leading on royalty/revenue analysis for major program recaps.
    • Create a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting structure that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operational needs.
    • Manage, direct, and organize the work of the finance team.
    • Work with the Controller to develop Board-level reporting and present to our client's Board each quarter.
    • Work with the Controller to oversee our client's outside accounting teams in preparation of the company's annual financial statements, audit, and tax filings.
    • Represent the organization externally in banking and lease negotiations.
    • Evaluate the financial impact of prospective licensing arrangements (ROI, opportunity cost, etc.)
    • Manage the forecasting process and recommend areas for streamlining and improvement.

    Office Administration

    • Working with HR to ensure our client's employees have the IT tools they need to work effectively, mitigating the company's IT risk, and tracking IT equipment.
    • Key contact for office move.
    • Manage all office facilities, including being the key contact for office landlord.
    • Assess organizational structure and recommend changes for efficiency.
    • Build and support sustainable systems and processes.
    • Work with Legal and HR to manage our client's risk management program including our client's company and D&O insurance policies.

    Experience Required:

    • BS in Accounting or Finance from four-year college or university
    • At least 10 years of related experience and/or training
    • Professional qualification such as CPA or similar
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP
    • Interpret licensing agreements and extract salient accounting and business points from assumptions and projections
    • Experience in entertainment and/or licensing accounting
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
    • High attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and set priorities to meet critical deadlines
    • Experience working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial organization
    • Ability to collaborate and thrive in a team environment
