Position Overview: Axiom Space is seeking a talented and experienced Compensation & Benefits Manager to join our Human Resources team. Reporting to the Director of HR Business Partnerships (HRBP), the Compensation & Benefits Manager will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate our diverse talent pool.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement compensation strategies aligned with Axiom Space's business objectives and market trends.
2. Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis to ensure our compensation packages remain competitive within the industry and compliant with regulations.
3. Manage the annual compensation review process, including merit increases, promotions, and bonuses, ensuring fairness and consistency.
4. Collaborate with HRBP's and business leaders to evaluate job roles and ensure accurate job descriptions and salary structures.
5. Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks, ensuring they meet the needs of our employees and comply with legal requirements.
6. Partner with external vendors and consultants to negotiate contracts and optimize the effectiveness of our benefits offerings.
7. Lead communication efforts to educate employees on their compensation and benefits packages, promoting understanding and appreciation.
8. Stay informed about emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in compensation and benefits, recommending adjustments or enhancements as needed.
9. Handle employee inquiries and concerns related to compensation and benefits, providing timely and accurate support.
10. Collaborate with HRBP's and other HR team members on various projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CCP, CBP) preferred.
2. Proven experience (7+ years) in compensation and benefits management, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment or within the technology or aerospace industry.
3. Strong understanding of compensation principles, including salary structures, incentive plans, and equity programs.
4. Familiarity with benefits administration, including healthcare, retirement, and wellness programs.
5. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to inform decision-making.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
7. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance with regulations.
8. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Proficiency in HRIS and other relevant software applications.
