Behind the curtain, a multimillion-dollar software system, combined with artificial intelligence and a meticulously selected product assortment, provides for a streamlined shopping experience, eliminating time-consuming browsing through irrelevant items.

We use our darkstores, stocked with between items to deliver groceries and other essentials to customers doors within 15 mins. These darkstores are strategically located to enable maximum coverage in the quickest possible time and are fitted out with Buyks proprietary technology to optimize the speed of order picking and delivery. Buyks technology also provides its teams with detailed information on a hyperlocal level, to ensure each darkstore is stocked according to the specific needs and desires of consumers in that area.

**Buyk making real-time retail a reality.**

An experienced **Buyer** to facilitate the streamlining of Buyks product procurement activities. The purchasing manager will develop purchasing strategies, maintain positive relationships with suppliers, coordinate with our city teams regarding their on hand supply of product while ensuring all of our locations can meet our customer demand. * Ensure timely creation and submission of orders to our suppliers according in correlation to store needs;

Develop and implement purchasing strategies & methodologies;

Manage daily purchasing activities;

Manage supplier relations, negotiate vendor contracts, prices, and timelines;

Develop and maintain a supplier database, which will retain purchase records and related documentation;

Coordinate with inventory control in determining appropriate par levels per location;

Control and analyze darkstore inventory levels ensuring appropriate action is taken to control the flow of goods between suppliers and locations;

Instituting a policy and process to handle delivered goods that will spoil prior to sale;

Ensure goods are accounted for and recorded accurately within our systems.

As **Purchasing Manager**

2-3 years experience in purchasing/procurement (preferably in food products);

Familiarity with vendors working within this market;

Prior experience in inventory control methods;

Excitement to join a fast growing startup and get in on the ground floor;

Knowledge of Excel (Removing duplicates in Excel, VLOOKUP function, pivot tables);

Bilingual Russian is a huge plus but not necessary

Communicates Effectively. You develop and deliver communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

Successfully Manage Relationships. Build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

Data Enthusiast. You love product analysis and ensuring that our procurement process is based on both demand and community.
