    Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced accountant in our Fort Lauderdale office who aspires to grow within organization. Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities alongside Controller to include journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The compensation range is $85k-$95k annually.

    What you will do:

    • Manage the general ledger accounting processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements by performing detailed reconciliations and analysis of GL accounts.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency in GL processes.
    • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
    • Prepare and review financial statements, variance analysis, and management reports for senior management and stakeholders.
    • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, including training on GL procedures and best practices.
    • Coordinate with external auditors and support audit engagements by providing documentation and explanations as needed.
    • Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends relevant to general ledger accounting.
    • Participate in special projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness of the accounting function.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
    • Minimum of three years of corporate accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger management.
    • CPA designation is preferred but not required.
    • Public Accounting background preferred
    • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
    • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
