    We are looking for interns to join Nuna for the Summer 2024 season. At Nuna, we pride ourselves on delivering a compelling, enriching internship program for students exploring careers in the healthcare and tech industries. Our collective expertise, emphasis on learning, and social impact make Nuna an attractive destination for emerging professionals.

    We are seeking an individual who has a passion for data & analytics and is excited to jump into new data challenges related to achieving Nuna's mission of making high-quality healthcare accessible and affordable for everyone. You will have an opportunity to learn and grow by working with industry experts. In this role you'll work as part of a cross-functional team of engineers, healthcare data experts, product managers, and customer liaisons to expand, adapt and configure Nuna's data products. You will support the ongoing data operations and inform new product features by tackling complicated data problems.

    • Grow as a data analyst by gaining hands-on healthcare analytics knowledge and skills
    • Collaborate with product, client management, engineering teams and the client to verify and validate Nuna's implementation
    • Work on a few product development projects, which span the full data stack
    • Learn from experienced analysts and data scientists in building a new consumer digital health application

    QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications

    • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (NumPy/pandas) or R
    • Academic/Project experience with Statistics, Economics, Population Health Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science or similar
    • Passion to connect with, understand, and shape the healthcare industry
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Keen attention to detail and deadline driven
    • Student going into their last year of Bachelor or graduate programs in quantitative or engineering fields (Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Health/Medical Informatics, Data Science, Computer Science, or similar)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in statistical analysis and machine learning
    • Experience in software development with Python or equivalent
    • Experience with healthcare and/or financial data sources

    We take into account an individual's qualifications, skillset, and experience in determining final salary. This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company's equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The compensation for this position is $50/hour + housing stipend. The actual offer will be at the company's sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate's qualifications, years of experience, and skillset.
