Title:
Document Control Specialist

Job Summary:
The Document Control Specialist is responsible for managing all documents and records for Deringer-Ney Inc.

This includes organizing, tracking, distributing, and ensuring version control of documents such as procedures, specifications, drawings, and other Quality and/or Engineering records.

The Document Control Specialist plays a key role in maintaining compliance with ISO, IATF, and other applicable Quality standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain electronic document control systems to comply with ISO, IATF, and other regulatory requirements applicable to DNI
Organize, distribute, archive, and dispose of documents according to established procedures
Ensure accurate numbering, revision control, review, and approval of documents
Manage document change orders and track document revision status
Maintain records in document control databases and ensure files are current and accurate
Control access and distribution of confidential documents per established guidelines
Generate reports on document control metrics like check in/out logs, document expiration/renewal, etc.
Work closely with departments to facilitate document creation, change, review, approval, issuance, and distribution

Additional Responsibilities:
Provide document control training and support to organization personnel
Recommend improvements for document control processes and systems
Participate in internal audits related to document control
Assist with due diligence for clients, regulatory authorities, and external audits as required

Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with document control software and databases
Strong organization, time management and record keeping ability
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle confidential documents and information discreetly
Self-motivated with capability to work independently and in a team environment
Experience & Education Requirements
Associates degree, or a technical certification in document/records management or related subject matter
2+ years' experience in document control, preferably in a regulated industry like aerospace, automotive, and/or medical device

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Occasional lifting of boxes containing documents up to 20 pounds.
