Based in West Hartford CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees.

The Company's key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

Position
We have an exciting opportunity for a EHS Specialist to join our West Hartford, CT team. Our innovative and growing company is hiring for an EHS Specialist. Thank you in advance for taking a look at the list of responsibilities and qualifications.


Responsibilities:


  • Prepare reports for all Environmental Health and Safety programs as required by Federal, State and Local agencies.
  • Assist in plantwide compliance efforts with federal, state/local environmental laws and regulations.
  • Maintain all EHS training documentation as required by corporate and federal/state standards.
  • Identify and organize sources of training and training documentation.
  • Work with department supervisors to facilitate investigations of ergonomic injuries, illnesses, and pain complaints.
  • Consult and support management, engineering or any other involved party with the design, organization and operation of workplaces, tools and methods used in the operation of the facility.
  • Conduct Job Safety Analysis and make recommendations to reduce risk to employees.
  • Act as the primary wastewater treatment system operator.
  • Perform Industrial Hygiene and Environmental sampling. Qualifications
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a closely related field. Benefits
