    Description

    Human Resources Manager

    Salary: $120,000 - $140,000

    Location: Hackensack

    We're on the lookout for a talented Human Resources Manager to join a leading law firm. This pivotal role will oversee various human resource functions across the firm, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. Prior experience in a law firm environment is essential and certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or PHR is advantageous.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide comprehensive managerial and administrative support to the Chief Human Resources Officer, focusing on enhancing existing policies and procedures.
    • Lead the firm's recruitment, hiring, development, and retention initiatives while adhering to state and federal regulations and recommended employment laws.
    • Assess staffing requirements, maintain benchmarked staffing ratios, and supervise non-exempt personnel to uphold firm standards.
    • Manage employee relations and effectively resolve employment conflicts.
    • Coordinate with the Chief Human Resources Officer and Payroll and Benefits Coordinator on all benefit plans, including the 401(k)/Profit Sharing Plan.
    • Maintain updated standard job descriptions for support staff and ensure timely review of job specifications.
    • Assist in the seamless integration of new attorneys.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field preferred, or equivalent experience supplemented by additional training.
    • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in human resources within legal or professional service organizations.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships with partners, attorneys, and staff.
    • Comprehensive understanding of law firm services, policies, and procedures.
