The purpose of this position is to provide financial support, drive operational and streamlining initiatives, reporting, and modeling expertise for Chromalloy Materials Solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage day to day operations of the Quantum MRO and Logistics Software system.
Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, including the loading of HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) and transmission to corporate by required due dates.
Manage and ensure accounting practices and procedures (i.e. general ledger, intercompany accounting, financial reporting) are within the framework of GAAP.Ensure and maintain internal controls and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and Sequa / Chromalloy policies and procedures.
Manage internal and external auditors during periodic financial audits.
Ensure account reconciliations are documented, reviewed and completed within specified time frames.
Provide financial analysis and support for weekly and monthly forecasts and annual business plans.
Analyze key performance indicators to identify underlying business issues, and provide input for operational decisions.
Lead special projects central to improving analytical tools, internal business processes, and overall management decision processes.
Participate in developing monthly operations review, benchmarking studies, and various management presentations.
Make recommendations regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities across the organization.
Manage and supervise, hire, terminate, promote, train and develop and conduct performance appraisals of team members.

Qualifications
Education:
BA / BS degree in Finance or Accounting
MBA and/or CPA preferred
Experience:
6 + years of progressive experience including at least 2 years in a manufacturing, preferably aerospace or similar environment.
Skills:
Extensive experience with complex inventory and control systems
1+ year previous management / supervisory experience building and developing talent.
Ability to work independently, and proactively to develop solutions with minimal guidance.
Extensive computer experience including MS Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office products, database, etc., Quantum and/or EPICOR experience a plus.
Strong decision-making skills and ability to use sound judgment and challenge assumptions when appropriateDemonstrated knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, techniques, and regulatory requirements
Proven flexibility and ability to cope with pressure resulting from changing priorities and meeting tight deadlines and reporting requirements
