    POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT


    Moss' Project Accounting Manager will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations and orient, train, counsel, and communicate job expectations and enforce policies and procedures to Project Accountants (PAs) under their supervision, as well as lead all financial and fiscal management of the projects.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction or renewable energy accounting, familiarity with percentage of completion accounting, and excellent leadership skills.

    Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

    Prepare, review, and monitor the regional overhead budgetEstablish and maintain organization processes and procedure manualsEstablish and maintain project audit processes and proceduresSupervise all assigned Project Accountants and Contract AdministratorsReview project-level financial reports (WIP, Dashboards, Cash Position & Forecasts)Set up and implement procedures to ensure contractual requirements with respect to all financial aspects are adhered toTrain and develop staffEnsure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and industry-specific accounting standards and stay up to date with changes in construction accounting standardsContinuously assess and improve accounting processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracyPerform other duties as assigned

    Education And Work Experience

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

    CPA or CMA certification is highly desirableMinimum of 5 years of work experience in Project / Financial AccountingPossess a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirementsPrevious experience managing or supervising others, preferably on an accounting teamPrevious construction company experience requiredStrong critical thinking, decision making, and analytical skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracyExceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management.

    Proficient verbal and written communication skillsFlexible with changing priorities and willing to work as needed to meet deadlinesOrganized/self-starter capable of working independently and managing multiple deadlines.

    Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems for financial reporting and analysis.
    Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
