- Review the general ledger for accuracy, identify any missing transactions, and coordinate resolution.
- Review balance sheet for accuracy and coordinate resolution of unreconciled items.
- Prepare bank reconciliations.
- Prepare the initial draft of the monthly reporting package.
- Prepare work papers and schedules to facilitate month-end financial reporting and annual financial statement audit, annual Medicare/Medicaid cost report and other federal/state reporting requirements.
- Inform others of costs, quality, schedule, and risks related to engagement parameters.
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2-3 years of work experience in a professional services firm or 3+ years of private industry experience.
- Experience working in a rural healthcare accounting/finance setting preferred.
- Knowledge of Critical Access Hospital and Rural Health Clinic cost-based reimbursement is desired.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize your own work effectively.
- Ability to understand of cash, accrual, and full GAAP basis of accounting.
- Ability to work under pressure and time deadlines.
- Ability to examine data and recommend solutions.

Wipfli supports equal pay for equal work and values each candidate's unique experiences and skill sets. The estimated pay range for this position is: $60,000 to $90,000. Compensation within the range is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, individuals' skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business needs and applicable employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
