- Develop/Design/Modify test software for embedded systems.
- Modify and provide updates to existing Government Reference Architecture SysML models for Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) DOD weapon program integration efforts.
- Requirements definition, specification development and verification, parameter allocations, specification and ICD development, verification planning, and objective evidence capture.
- Apply systems engineering principles and customer requirements to implement a Weapon Open System Architecture (WOSA) on various platforms.
- Work with DOD weapon system programs, interfacing with all major subsystems.
- Perform verification testing as a member of a team in a customer laboratory.
- Integration of prototype/production level hardware in a customer laboratory.
- Document and present analysis results to technical leads, management, and/or customers.
- Lead the development and on-time delivery of technical products to our customers.
- Ensure corporate policies and procedures are adhered to in the day-to-day performance of duties.
- Support program meetings and technical reviews with internal and external customers.
- Support other duties as assigned. Skills and Competencies
- BS degree in Software Engineering or Computer Engineer/Science required, MS preferred
- At least 15 years of engineering experience in the relevant systems/electrical engineering disciplines; experience on DoD programs desired.
- Experience with serial data transfer protocols, computer networking protocols, and DOD communication bus standards desired (e.g., UAI/1760).
- Experience performing systems engineering requirements analysis.
- Basic to proficient level experience with SysML Language, MBSE Methodology, and Cameo Enterprise Architecture or similar tools (e.g., MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler) is desired.
- Experience with C++, JavaScript, Python required; embedded sys experience desired.
- Experience working in an Agile Scrum software development environment using Jira is desired.
- Ability to work in a dynamic customer-site team environment, representing the company in a professional manner.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements and design implementations.
