- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Design, develop, and test complex systems
- 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices
- Experience working on ships
- Strong Proficiency in 2D & 3D AutoCAD
- Experience with system analysis and requirements development
- Knowledge of multiple disciplines including piping, HVAC, structure, and electrical systems
- Experience with system integration and testing
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance
- Openness to travel as required
- Familiarity with IDEA CAD Standards
- Prior experience working with NNS, NNSY, Ingalls, and PSNS Shipyards
