- Reports to the office upon arrival for check-in and reviews the plans and schedules for the day.
- Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about school personnel.
- Assumes the responsibility for overseeing student behavior in the classroom, during lunch, activity periods and out-of-class settings.
- Executes instructional activities with individual students or small groups of students following the absent teacher's lesson plans.
- Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Proficiency in maintaining efficient classroom management skills.
- Conduct yourself in a polite and professional manner with other staff members and building administrators.
- Other duties may be required that are not enumerated here that are part of the classroom teacher's curriculum or duties.
- B.A/B.S degree in teaching from an accredited institution or related field teaching
- Pennsylvania certification/private certification in teaching (ALL CERTIFICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED)
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
- Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total school program
- Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology

Job DescriptionSalary: $45,000+ (based on experience and education)Behavioral Health Associates (BHA) is an educational organization. We offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavior support services for students diagnosed with emotional/behavioral disorders to empower the students in overcoming challenges and creating new stories in their lives.
We will have an opening for a full-time Permanent Substitute Teacher (all certifications considered).
POSITION GOAL
Day to day job duties of a substitute teacher are determined by the classroom teacher and may vary depending upon the changing needs of the classroom(s), student(s), and/or clients. Substitute teachers are subject to daily reassignment depending on the needs of the day. The substitute teacher must comply with the duties outlined by the classroom teacher or designee.
