Job DescriptionBuxmont Academy, a Pennsylvania licensed private academic school, is seeking a full-time instructional aide for their Tatamy Creek campus. If you enjoy working with at-risk students, have excellent interpersonal skills, and enjoy learning, this position is for you.
Our instructional aides are caring, confident, and creative They support students both academically and therapeutically, and promote a healthy community. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 7:30am-3:30pm, Fridays until 2:30pm. Buxmont Academy offers a competitive salary, 401K retirement plan, paid time off, and health, vision, and dental insurances. Buxmont Academy has six campuses in southeastern PA and uses restorative practices to encourage students to grow academically and emotionally. Our teachers, counselors, and support staff work together to build a healthy community environment for our students.
Primary responsibilities for the instructional aide position include providing 1-on-1 and small group tutoring to students grades 7-12, assisting teachers and other school staff with all school-related needs, and serving as a substitute when necessary.
Qualified candidates will ideally possess an associate's degree or higher level of education, and have the knowledge and ability to assist in instruction in core subjects.
