    Description

    Substitute Custodian

    An ESS substitute custodian plays a crucial role in upkeeping school facilities to ensure a safe and clean environment for students and staff, allowing for a productive learning atmosphere. Apart from general maintenance tasks, the custodian also assists teachers with setting up and maintaining classroom furniture and equipment.

    Responsibilities

    • Performing maintenance duties before, during, and after school hours
    • Cleaning all areas of school buildings following district standards, including floors, windows, furniture, and restrooms
    • Supply materials to the necessary building sections
    • Carrying out grounds keeping tasks

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • PA Department of Education Form 6004: Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification - Act 24
    • PA State Police Criminal History Clearance - Act 34
    • Federal Criminal History Clearance - Act 114
    • Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training - Act 126
    • Child Abuse Clearance - Act 151
    • Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release - Act 168
    • Tuberculosis Test/Physical
