    Position Summary

    Reporting to the Director of Corporate Development, this position is responsible for supporting the company's strategy and M&A initiatives. This opportunity requires the candidate to be located Chicago, IL and regularly be present at the Company's headquarters with some flexibility to work-from-home.

    The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple projects of competing priority and display the ability to reallocate resources when needed. Creative analysis, independent thought, and a proactive approach to adding value to the organization are key elements of this position. This role will require the individual to be a problem solver that works across M&A, corporate development, finance, legal, operations and project management. The person in this role will need to be capable of taking on various projects, including:

    • Financial modeling for M&A, project development and financing activities
    • Negotiating commercial business agreements
    • Serving as an integral member of company's strategic planning effort to identify, assess, and prioritize growth opportunities
    • Capital markets activities supporting the corporation's growth & funding efforts

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and direct due diligence activities for M&A activity
    • Act as a liaison between Corporate Development and other Amp teams to successfully implement our strategy and support the overall growth of the organization
    • Support the office of the CFO on strategic finance initiatives
    • Structure and negotiate commercial relationships between Amp and its business partners
    • Collaborate with project managers, project team members, internal and external stakeholders including senior leadership, operations, engineering, legal and accounting to meet corporate business objectives
    • Effectively build and maintain positive relationships with Amp team members, sponsors, service providers and other stakeholders

    Skills / Abilities / Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field (required)
    • Master's Degree in Finance or Business Administration (preferred)
    • Three (3) to Five (5) years of investment banking, private equity, or related finance experience (required)
    • Strong quantitative data analysis skills, including advanced Excel modeling and MS Office skills (required)
    • Exceptional attention to detail (required)
    • Excellent written & verbal communication skills (required)
    • Ability to work independently to organize, plan, coordinate, and manage multiple work streams simultaneously (required)
    • Strong leadership skills in delegation, negotiation, and communication (required)
    • Critical thinking skills and the ability to research and understand legal and financial implications (preferred)
    • Excellent understanding of the business or industry, its services, customers, and providers (preferred)
    • Interest in alternative energy and/or renewable fuels (preferred)
