    Who We Are:
    We are a family-owned company operating businesses throughout the Chicagoland area. Our brands provide name recognition associated with quality. We are minority owned and certified operating SQF Levels of 2 or 3. Our company is currently embarking on a growth strategy which creates new financial positions to support the efforts.


    About the Role:


    The Director of Finance of our company plays a key role in driving the company's success by ensuring strong financial standing.

    The Director of Finance will lead the budget and forecasting process, design and measure KPI performance, and ensure the integrity of all financial reporting systems.

    This role must demonstrate exceptional financial skills with detail orientation and problem-solving abilities. You must have the competency, capability, and knowledge to advise on high level financial decisions.


    What You'll Do:
    Create financial modeling to price, forecast, and leverage data for decision making.
    Monitor spending and recommend savings programs and initiatives.
    Prepare budgets to improve performance predictability.
    Collaborate with management to create funding strategies.
    Find ways to reduce costs and increase profits.
    Assess and manage risks associated with the business, including market fluctuations, spending programs, and supply chain disruptions.
    Hire and oversee the accounting department, including giving directions and delivering periodical evaluations.

    Collaborate with the BCM leadership team to forecast trends, develop new strategies, and implement new policies and procedures to enhance organizational effectiveness.

    Oversee all audit and internal control operations.


    Our Ideal Candidate:
    Education and Experience
    Bachelor's degree in business administration or a master's degree in finance required.
    5-7 years of proven finance and business experience with leadership and key contributor standing.
    Plant Controller experience needed.
    Knowledge and experience of the food manufacturing industry a must.

    Required Skill and Abilities
    Verbal and written communication skills to create reports and present to
    others with a "non-financial" tone.
    Knowledge of analysis and financial software
    Strong creative skills to develop new and innovative solutions.
    Ability to create and deliver unbiased budget expectations for different departments.
    Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and a track record of support for
    achieving or exceeding financial targets.
    Process improvement mentality and ability to implement change to improve operational efficiencies.
    A general understanding of sales, supply chain management, including procurement, inventory management, and distribution.
