    Description


    WKMG-TV, the CBS affiliate in Orlando is looking for a highly motivated, experienced, creative professional to join our team as its Promotion Manager.

    The qualified candidate is creative, strategic, innovative and able to create strong messages across all platforms that capture audiences and move them to act.

    The candidate will work closely with the Creative Services Director to develop and execute marketing strategies for the station and lead a team of producers in creating quality promotions that further the brand.

    The manager will also conceptualize, write and edit promos, videos and promotional campaigns for news, programming, community service and contests, to name a few.


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Conceptualize, write, direct talent, edit and produce targeted campaigns that address WKMGs promotional needs. Identify and implement promotional strategies to increase ratings, awareness, and revenue on all platforms. Oversee the Promotional side of programming logs. Works closely with and reports directly to the Creative Services Director. Assist CSD in department planning for upcoming projects. Assist CSD in approval process for producer projects. Create schedules for creative team. Assist producers in project creation and completion.

    Assist producers in writing exceptional copy, be able to view promos & videos and assist in making them more appealing to viewers.


    Help manage promotional content on all platforms:
    , News 6+, all social media platforms, YouTube, and streaming platforms. Oversee production of other promotional materials on through Blue Conic. Layout out social posts and digital marketing ads. Manage OTT promotional video in Google Ad Manager. Manage Digital Promotional Ads for in Google Ad Manager. Contest Creation and execution. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays at a moments notice due to the nature of national and local news.


    QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    A minimum of five years in advertising and promotion experience with promotion-specific record of success in the television/news industry, brand management or marketing/digital/advertising agency.

    Creative chops to cut through the clutter, grab viewers attention and motivate tune-in through compelling copy and clear vision. Ability to elevate the quality and direction of a producers work. Must have experience in producing top rate projects from conception through completion. Strong non-linear editing, photo shop and aftereffects skills. Highly experienced in directing talent, camera, and lighting crews. Strong cinema and/or ENG camera skills.

    Self-motivated with ability to not only work in fast paced environment but thrive in that environment while meeting daily deadlines and changing priorities.

    Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work well with other departments on collaborative projects and to execute promotional projects.

    Must be a highly organized, detail oriented, a problem solver with the ability to find solutions in rapidly changing environments.

    Must be able to work on site. Possess and maintains a valid drivers license with a driving record acceptable to the Company. Must be able to lift at least 25lbs. Must provide a demo with work exhibiting these skills. Must be able to identify what you did specifically on those reels.


    SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    Adobe CC (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) are essential. Schedule ads on social platforms. Google Ad Manager. Social media promotional scheduling, posting. Ability to understand the elements for good static ad layout & video posts across platforms.
