Electrician on Board at Costa Crociere (M/F/d) in Hickory Hills, PA

Your Responsibilities:


  • Conduct daily checks of main switchboards and substations, assessing their normal operating range and understanding electrical symbols and drawings.
  • Perform operations on medium/low voltage and all switchboards, including the emergency switchboard. Have knowledge of force distribution and the location of substations and major utilities. Know the correct measures to take in emergency situations.
  • Manage interventions in the Guest's area, including correctly processing Work Requests (WR) and Work Orders (WO). Perform maintenance on various types of engines, including general checks and specific maintenance on electrical motors, transformers, propulsion, and electrical panels.
  • Assist Electrician Officers in operating safety equipment such as Lifeboat Electrical Winches, Lifeboat Electrical Motors, and Emergency Light batteries.
  • Operate electrical machines and assist in maneuvers for deck machinery (windlass, mooring winches), galley equipment (dishwashers, ovens), laundry machinery (washing, mangles), and bar machinery.

Your Profile:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Electrical Field and Industrial Automation. Certification as an Electrician in your own country is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrician on board a vessel and 2 years of experience in maintenance service in an industrial plant on shore.
  • Must hold COP III/7 per STCW.
  • Good command of the English language.
