    Summary: Responsible for supporting professional caregivers in delivering patient care, handling patient and/or equipment transportation, room setup and maintenance, as well as various clerical, transcription, and desk area maintenance tasks.


    Responsibilities:
    - Assist physicians and health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, equipment and supplies procurement.
    - Review patient care documentation, noting significant changes in patient's condition and reporting immediately to registered nurse or physician.
    - Perform clerical tasks such as organizing workload, greeting visitors, transcribing physician orders, and maintaining medical records.
    - Provide clinical support assistance including maintaining equipment, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, changing linens, and assisting in new employee orientation.
    - Offer direct personal care to patients, record vital signs, measurements, and assist with activities outlined in the care plan.
    - Support patient education efforts by reinforcing teaching given by nurses or physicians and distributing educational materials.

    Education Requirements:
    - High School diploma or GED
    Licensure/Certification Requirements:
    - Listed as Nurse Aide I Registry with North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
    - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
    Professional Experience Requirements:
    - One year of clerical or customer service experience and six months of related nursing assistant experience or equivalent.
    Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
    - Fluency in verbal and written English. Capability to develop computer skills.
