    Position Overview

    The IT Senior Systems Administrator will play a crucial role in managing systems hardware, software, and infrastructure effectively. This includes installation, configuration, and maintenance tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. You will have the chance to contribute to technical research and development as part of a dynamic team based in the corporate office in NY, equipped with cutting-edge technology.

    What you'll do

    • Lead a team of administrators, promoting individual accountability and responsibility for IT service delivery
    • Oversee the provision of data processing information and equipment to Hunter Douglas by your team
    • Design and implement PC LAN and WAN networks for large sites, incorporating various server systems
    • Monitor system performance, ensuring hardware and software integrity and availability
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide technical support and solutions
    • Maintain end-user access to systems, devices, and services while promptly addressing any issues
    • Configure and install servers, network equipment, and security systems to support the network infrastructure
    • Complete any other assigned duties as necessary

    Who you are

    • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in a technical field
    • Have at least 7 to 9 years of experience in system hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance
    • Possess expert knowledge in system integration and large network design
    • Demonstrate proficiency in WAN and LAN switching, as well as TCP/IP and networking protocols
    • Be skilled in Windows and Unix server environments, along with hardware and software installations and troubleshooting
    • Capable of analyzing results and providing recommendations based on findings
