Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Surgeon to join our medical team. As a Surgeon, you will be responsible for performing surgical procedures to treat various medical conditions. You will work at the Veterans HealthCare Medical Center, providing high-quality care to Veterans. If you are passionate about surgery and have the necessary qualifications, we encourage you to apply.
Duties:
Perform surgical procedures to treat patients with various medical conditions
Assess patient conditions and determine the appropriate surgical approach
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans
Monitor patient progress before, during, and after surgery
Provide post-operative care and follow-up appointments
Stay up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques and advancements in the field
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines
Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited institution
Valid license to practice as a Surgeon
BC/BE in Surgery
Extensive experience in performing surgical procedures
Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination
Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills:
PTSD Care: Experience in providing surgical care for patients with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Senior Care: Ability to provide specialized surgical care for elderly patients
Hospital: Familiarity with hospital protocols and procedures
Medical Records: Proficiency in maintaining accurate and organized medical records
Standards: Familiarity with professional standards and guidelines for surgical practice
Physiology Knowledge: Understanding of human physiology and its relevance to surgical procedures
Discharge Planning: Ability to develop discharge plans for patients after surgery
Basic Life Support: Certification in basic life support techniques
