Duties:


  • Serve as a construction representative, responsible for maintaining surveillance over all types of construction projects except Military Construction, Army (MCA) Projects.
  • Projects include construction, rehabilitation or renovation of ammunition storage facilities, irrigation systems, administrative buildings, fiber optics, roads, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, etc.
  • Exercise surveillance to assure that contractor is conducting quality control operations to produce work in conformance with plans and specifications.
  • Act as Contract Officer's Representative (COR) for assigned projects and maintains the COR files in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Review plans and specifications during planning and design stages.
  • Inspect materials being used to ensure compliance with plans and specifications as to grade, composition, dimensions, consistency, value or other characteristics.

  • This position requires preemployment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive R.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
  • This position requires the possession of or have the ability to possess certification as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 15 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
