    Job Title: Contract Automation Engineer (Mid to Senior Level) specializing in DeltaV or PLC Systems within Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

    Overview: We are in search of a proficient Contract Automation Engineer specializing in DeltaV or PLC systems for the Pharmaceutical industry. The primary responsibility of this role is to conceptualize and execute automation solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

    Responsibilities:

    System Development and Design:

    • Take charge of designing and implementing automation solutions utilizing DeltaV or PLC systems.
    • Collaborate closely with teams to outline system specifications and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

    Programming and Configuration:

    • Develop and configure control strategies, logic, and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) tailored for manufacturing environments.
    • Deploy control algorithms to improve process efficiency and uphold product quality.

    Testing, Validation, and Compliance:

    • Conduct comprehensive testing and validation procedures on automation systems to guarantee functionality and regulatory compliance.
    • Execute validation protocols (Installation Qualification/Operational Qualification/Performance Qualification) to validate system performance and alignment with regulatory standards.

    Documentation and Regulatory Compliance:

    • Produce detailed technical documentation such as specifications, design documents, and validation reports.
    • Ensure strict adherence to FDA regulations and industry standards throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.

    Continuous Improvement and Project Management:

    • Identify areas for process enhancement through the integration of automation technologies.
    • Oversee automation projects from inception to completion, adhering to predetermined timelines and budgetary constraints.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in DeltaV or PLC programming.
    • Proficient in ladder logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD), or Sequential Function Chart (SFC).
    • Thorough understanding of FDA regulations and industry standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
    • Experience in process control systems, instrumentation, and hardware integration.
    • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
    • Preferred certification in DeltaV or PLC programming.

    Contract Duration: To be determined based on project requirements.

    Location: San Francisco Bay Area (Hybrid)
