Description
Responsibilities
Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003.
The Float Therapist will provide therapeutic services both in our outpatient program, for children, youth, and adults suffering from Substance Use and Mental Health Disorders.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work or a clinically related mental health field.
Experience:
Float Therapist prefers, but does not require, two (2) years' experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills.
This time in the field can include practicum and internship studies or work at a mental health institution while an undergraduate.
License:
Float Therapist should be licensed as a LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC in the state of Indiana. However, this is not a requirement, but preference. Experience in the field with appropriate education will be acceptable.
Additional Requirements:
CPR certification and CPI training prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Float Therapist must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime as necessary. Weekend coverage is required, as needed.
