    Our managed vector database provides customers with easy-to-use capabilities that until now have only been in the hands of a few tech giants.

    We have a large audience of ML engineers, software engineers, data scientists, and technical architects who are eager to learn and build with our product.

    You will report to the Director of Engineering for Experience.

    The Revenue Engineering team at Pinecone is responsible for our usage based billing platform, inclusive of metering pipelines, vendor and marketplace integrations, discounting, invoicing, reconciliation, and the Dunning process.

    As an Engineering Manager at Pinecone, you will drive the planning and execution for our revenue engineering roadmap.

    Youll support a team of experienced engineers and help them do their best work in a critical area, and youll grow the team with world class talent.


    Responsibilities:
    Delivering improvements that make our billing system more performant, resilient and accurate
    Planning with product and finance teams to ensure the roadmap is aligned with our business goals
    Grow a world class team of engineers and support them in doing the best work of their career
    Develop and improve processes that ensure consistent delivery against objectives and drive strong alignment across engineering, product and field
    Evolve the organizational structure to meet long term objectives

    What we look for:
    3+ years of experience leading teams of 5+ people
    Experience with usage based billing
    Familiarity with distributed systems
    Recruit world-class talent, and make sure they have the conditions to do their best work
    Drive clarity to ship complex projects in high impact areas
    Develop a multi-year vision & strategy with incremental deliverables
    Establish high technical standards and processes
    Growth mindset, courage and curiosity to stretch beyond your previous experiences
