This position will be remote and based in Dallas, TX.General Purpose Of The Position
Switch is seeking to grow its FP&A team with a Senior Financial Analyst – Capex.
In this role you will work closely with our construction, engineering, procurement, and data center operations departments to provide support and cost control over capital expenditures incurred in building some of the most advanced and largest data centers in the industry.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Assist in the creation and tracking of facility capex budgets across a portfolio of data center assets and campuses
Build and operate financial models to analyze capital investment opportunities
Become a subject matter expert in data center construction, including vendors and technologies
Assist in the creation of annual capex forecasts
Manage monthly budget vs. actual capex variance analyses by department
Identify cost saving opportunities by analyzing large sets of data
Assist with other analyses as requested by Finance team members
Conduct industry research and maintain databases of peer data
Other Duties:
Performs all other duties, tasks and projects as assigned
Required Job Skills

Strong attention to detail to ensure a high level of accuracy
Advanced knowledge of Excel modeling required
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to be proactive, handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure

Computer Equipment and Software
:
Thorough working knowledge of various software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Experience with JD Edwards, Salesforce, and/or database/accounting software a plus
Experience with Reports Now a plus
