    Job Description:

    The Accounts Receivable Specialist has the principal responsibility to provide financial, administrative & clerical support.
    Accounts receivable duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying billables and posting receipts.

    Hourly: 7am-3pm M-F

    Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist Accountability:

    • Working front on the phones, ensuring prompt and courteous response to all customers and vendor inquiries.
    • Managing receivables for all customers by processing accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
    • Verify discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues.
    • Opening all mail, reconciling invoices, creating deposits and work in QuickBooks to accept payments – daily
    • Leading the company in responsiveness and friendliness by making weekly routine calls to current customers regarding their account and payments, especially when delayed or past due.
    • Continually work with each account to achieve the least cycle time in receiving payments over the life of each customer.
    • Work with sales & customer service to ensure all customers who use credit cards to pay have an authorization form on file.
    • Record all credit card and check deposits.
    • Make collection calls as needed and without delay.
    • Keep all accounts no older than days and track the data weekly.

    Knowledge and Skills

    • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Kind and courteous when faced with delinquent customer or slow payer
    • Firm and candid communication with all team members and customers
    • Excellent time-management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize workload
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn other software applications used in the office: QuickBooks, CRO, PayTrace, etc.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent team player
    • Willingness to grow and pivot when necessary

    Education/Experience:

    • Accounting: 1 year
    • Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
    • Windows, Phone, Software, Computer
    • QuickBooks Desktop
    • Collections: 1 year
    • Customer Service: 1 year
    • Billing: 1 year­­
