    Description

    Position: Survey Project Manager

    Location: Chattanooga, TN

    Duration: Full-time permanent

    Salary: Competitive

    Important Note: Possession of Professional Land Surveyor license in Tennessee, or ability to obtain through reciprocity

    Job Description:

    The Survey Project Manager plays a vital role in planning and overseeing project schedules for various clients in both public and private sectors. This position involves managing technical staff, handling proposals, and collaborating with civil engineers, landscape architects, and fellow land surveyors to support clients in the development of commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Schedule field and office projects
    • Determine project staffing needs
    • Develop project timelines, scope, and budget
    • Ensure adherence to project timelines
    • Conduct QA/QC and peer surveys review
    • Supervise staff and team management
    • Oversee various survey types including control, boundary, topography, and construction surveys
    • Establish CAD standards
    • Collaborate with different departments for seamless project execution
    • Cultivate client relationships and contribute to business growth
    • Manage complete project lifecycle and financial goals
    • Execute additional duties as necessary

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Professional Land Surveyor license in Tennessee, or ability to obtain via reciprocity
    • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Survey, Geomatics, GIS, or related field
    • 7-8+ years of office experience
    • Thorough understanding of surveying principles and equipment use
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
    • Familiarity with Trimble equipment and Trimble Business Center
    • Team-oriented with strong communication skills
    • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Self-motivated with ability to handle multiple tasks
    • Experience in contracts, negotiations, and budgets
    • Leadership skills for multi-disciplinary project support
    • Effective technical communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficient in GEOPAK, MicroStation, and OpenRoads
    • Experience with LiDAR technologies like 3D laser scanning and point cloud registration
