    Position Summary

    The Associate Provost for Institutional Research and Effectiveness plays a pivotal role within the university's leadership team, offering guidance on data-driven decision-making to support strategic objectives. Collaborating closely with various departments, this role focuses on enhancing institutional effectiveness, overseeing academic assessment processes, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Reporting to the Provost, the Associate Provost engages with stakeholders across campus, including North Park Theological Seminary (NPTS), to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate a culture of ongoing improvement and assessment within the institution.
    • Serve as a central repository for institutional data and contribute to the development of strategic metrics.
    • Advise senior leadership on data requirements for planning and evaluation purposes.
    • Manage the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to inform decision-making processes.
    • Oversee external reporting and compliance with regulatory bodies such as IPEDS.
    • Coordinate student learning assessment efforts in collaboration with academic units.
    • Track enrollment trends and student success metrics in partnership with relevant campus offices.
    • Establish a systematic approach to university assessment and program evaluation.
    • Collaborate on projects to enhance data collection and analysis tools across the university.
    • Contribute to accreditation reports and outcomes assessment for HLC.
    • Prepare and submit external reports in a timely manner.
    • Develop and maintain the college's statistical profile for internal and external use.
    • Manage course evaluation processes in coordination with other departments.

    Requirements

    • Hold a Master's degree in a relevant field such as statistics, mathematics, or business.
    • Have 5 to 7 years of experience in statistical research and analysis.
    • Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis tools and software, including SQL and data visualization platforms.
    • Possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
    • Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
    • Show commitment to the university's mission and values.

    Preferred:

    • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Software.
    • Prior work in institutional research or effectiveness within a higher education setting.
    • Proficiency in relational database programs.
    • Ability to lead and develop a diverse team.
    • Track record of success in staff and project management.
