    Description

    Anchor Talent is seeking a Career Services Director in South Texas. As the Director, you will lead the Career Services department overseeing job search support, programming, and resources for students. Your main focus will be on building, implementing, and managing all career and employment initiatives.

    • Collaborate with various stakeholders like students, faculty, employers, and community partners to boost student career success
    • Develop short and long-term goals, organize projects effectively
    • Use metrics to monitor student progress in partnership with others
    • Take the lead in creating a referral system to offer internal and external resources for students' educational planning
    • Design and execute comprehensive career development programs and activities
    • Address students' career needs by ensuring programs are up-to-date, inclusive, and aligned with industry trends
    • Stay updated on career development trends to enhance program quality
    • Provide individual and group career counseling, conduct mock interviews, and give feedback to improve student performance
    • Assist students in accessing career assessment tools, online job boards, and internships
    • Establish and nurture relationships with local employers, industry experts, and community groups to expand student opportunities
    • Promote career fairs, employer sessions, and networking events to link students with potential employers
    • Collaborate with faculty to embed career development resources into the curriculum for holistic student preparation
    • Analyze student outcomes, employment rates, and service utilization to assess program impact
    • Create reports and presentations on career service data and trends for stakeholders
    • Utilize technology for managing career service databases, student records, and job postings
    • Supervise and train career services staff, student workers, or interns as needed

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in management, career development, or career planning
    • Strong relationship-building, communication, and critical thinking skills
    • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
