State Water Resources Control Board
Job Description and Duties
The State Water Resources Control Board is seeking a Water Resource Control Engineer to join their team in Sacramento, CA. This role involves supporting water resource policy and management work in the Division of Water Rights. The ideal candidate will utilize their engineering, critical thinking, and communication skills to influence state decision makers when making important water rights decisions that benefit California's people and environment.
Duties: This position provides an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals developing and implementing various drought planning and management initiatives. The Water Resource Control Engineer will analyze data, interpret regulations, and utilize data visualization tools to enhance water rights management and planning for future droughts. Additionally, they will engage with the public, present in meetings, and conduct water right hearings before the State Water Resources Control Board.
The selected candidate may also contribute to special projects within the Division of Water Rights to support high-priority programs and initiatives.

Applicants must have Water Resource Control Engineer eligibility and be reachable on the certification list. International college degrees must be evaluated by a credentials service.
