    What You'll Be Doing:

    • Own Your Territory: Proactively build your pipeline by generating at least 50% of your booked opportunities through effective outbound strategies, including email, calls, and social outreach.
    • Deep Discovery & Qualification: Utilize frameworks like MEDDPICC to uncover client pain points, business impacts, budgets, and decision criteria, ensuring you focus on high-confidence deals.
    • Value Storytelling & Demos: Create and deliver compelling presentations that directly align Elastic's Search, Observability, and Security capabilities to meaningful business outcomes.
    • Deal Strategy & Forecast Accuracy: Collaborate with clients to develop formal close plans while maintaining an up-to-date CRM with a forecast accuracy of at least 90% within a 10% margin.
    • Executive Negotiation & Closing: Engage in complex contract discussions, defending our value proposition, managing give/get scenarios, and securing multi-year consumption agreements.
    • Domain & Cloud Acumen: Position Elastic as the go-to Search AI platform by discussing cloud economics, usage-based pricing, and modern data architecture fluently.
    • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate closely with Solutions Architects, Customer Success, Marketing, and RevOps to expedite deal closures and enhance customer satisfaction.

    What You Bring:

    • 5+ years of proven success in closing complex Enterprise SaaS deals with a focus on meeting or exceeding consumption-based targets.
    • Expertise in discovery and qualification using frameworks like MEDDPICC to build a disciplined pipeline.
    • A strong track record of delivering impactful executive presentations and demos.
    • Robust negotiation skills, particularly in securing multi-year high-ACV contracts while ensuring margin protection.
    • Technical fluency in relevant domains such as observability, security, vector/traditional search, and cloud cost optimization.
    • A collaborative and coachable attitude, partnered with a willingness to integrate feedback and uphold Elastic's values of community and openness.
    • A passion for open-source communities and the Elastic model, with bonus experience in OSS advocacy or sales.

    Bonus Points:

    • Previous experience in an open-source or developer-focused infrastructure company.
    • Familiarity with observability (logs, metrics, traces) or security analytics (SIEM/XDR) use cases.

    Our total rewards package includes stock options and a company-matched 401k plan, with contributions matched dollar-for-dollar up to 6% of eligible earnings. The typical starting salary range for this role is $113,300-$179,200 USD, with a target variable compensation range of $113,200-$179,100 USD, leading to an On-Target Earnings (OTE) range of $226,500-$358,300 USD.
