Looking for Windows and Unix Scripting Production support developer - L3/L4 candidate
As a Production Support Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, reliability, and efficiency of production systems and applications.
The candidate will work closely with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues, deploy fixes, and implement enhancements to our production environment.
Responsibilities:
Experience with Windows / SQL and Linux / Oracle types of infrastructure and databases.
Production support experience & incident management
Hands-on experience in scripting languages
Hands-on experience in Oracle SQL
Possess knowledge of PL/SQL Scripting
Hands on experience on Unix commands for troubleshooting
Research and troubleshoot any issues reported by business users.
Offer solutions and process improvements.
Fix production support issues, break fixes which will involve code changes.
Responding to ad hoc business requests.
Responsible for the provisioning of any IT development, analysis, Information management (DBA), or QA requiring specialized knowledge of a niche technology.
Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle: from business/systems analysis, through requirements gathering and functional specification authoring, to development, testing and delivery.
Able to participate in an on-call rotation that requires some night / weekend work when on-call.
A sense of urgency with respect to responsiveness to user inquiries / requests / incidents
Your future duties and responsibilities:

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Modify existing databases and database management systems.
Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project. Perform other duties as assigned.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications.
To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role.
Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
