    • Cull & Pistol Oyster Bar is the full-service restaurant attached to Lobster Place Seafood Hall, Chelsea Market's most visited food destination.

    • You are committed to working a full-time schedule (5 days/week). The schedule would be Tuesday-Saturday with 4 opening shifts and one closing shift on Saturday.

    Duties & Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

    • Sets the tone of the guest experience with warmth and hospitality.
    • Greets and seats guests.
    • Confirms reservations in the Resy system.
    • Anticipates and accommodates guest needs.
    • Supports Front of House and Back of House teams during service as needed.
    • Manages wait lists and table turns through the Resy system.
    • Maintains the general cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance area.
    • Performs side-work as directed.

    Qualifications:

    • Previous host experience (1+ years') in a high-volume full-service restaurant.
    • Knowledge of Resy or similar reservation platform.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with guests and answer any questions about Cull & Pistol, Lobster Place, and their food and beverage selections.
    • Warm and welcoming demeanor.
    • Ability to remain professional and calm under pressure.
    • Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy restaurant environment.
    • Exceptional time management and communication skills.
    • Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
    • Evening & Weekend availability is a must.

    Pay & Benefits:

    • Hourly Rate: $16/hour (plus $10-$15/hour in tips)

    Working conditions

    This job operates in a professional restaurant environment. This role routinely requires the use of computers and other electronic devices. The host station is small, and traffic is high. The workspace is on 2 levels and the ability to use stairs is required. This is an FLSA non-exempt hourly position on the restaurant floor.

    Essential Functions

    • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, kneeling, bending and movement throughout the space.
    • Expression/exchange of ideas both verbally and through non-verbal means.
    • Must be able to obtain impressions through the eyes.
    • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination.
    • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying loads of up to 15 lbs.
    • Tolerance of heat, cold, and loud/noisy environments.
