    Job Overview: The Human Resources manager oversees the key generalist responsibility areas as described below within a highly collaborative environment.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    ̈ Performance Management, Employee Retention, and Employee Relations

    • Facilitate effective performance review process including scheduling, tracking, self-evaluations.
    • Provide guidance to supervisors on effective performance feedback; sit in on performance reviews, as necessary.
    • Address employee concerns/grievances with sensitivity and confidentiality.
    • Help leadership resolve workplace conflicts.
    • Implement employee engagement initiatives e.g., Energage survey to enhance employee satisfaction and retention. Support QOOL team initiatives aimed at enhancing employee satisfaction and engagement.
    • Conduct exit interviews and report findings to leadership.

    ̈ Compensation and Benefits

    • Develop and maintain clearly defined job descriptions for all positions within the firm.
    • Recommend salary ranges for all positions.
    • Study labor market and evaluate pay practices of competition to ensure competitive wages.
    • Coordinate with Accounting to administer Altieri benefits programs (health, life, FMLA, etc), and with Marketing to communicate programs effectively to staff. Work with leadership to evaluate programs annually and negotiate rates for new plans.

    ̈ Staffing and Recruitment/Talent Acquisition

    • Identify staffing needs, create job postings, source candidates, work with Marketing Department re: social media posts, other collateral material (for career fairs, etc.).
    • Review resumes and prescreen candidates.
    • Manage Onboarding process to ensure successful onboarding of new hires (including interns).
    • Develop and maintain relationships with colleges, recruitment firms, etc. to ensure Altieri is linked to talent pipelines.
    • Organize firm participation in career fairs, meet-and-greets on campus, etc.
    • Collaborate with Team USA on DEI initiatives.

    ̈ Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Stay up to date on changes in labor laws and update company policies accordingly.
    • Maintain accurate and up to date employee records including personnel files and HR database (e.g. determine which Paylocity HR functions are valuable to Altieri and activate)
    • Stay up to date on visa and immigration requirements.
    • Contribute knowledge of the legal ramifications of any actions taken by leadership (e.g. performance counseling)

    ̈ Training and Development

    • Implement best practices for employee development, internal training, and professional growth programs, e.g. support development of and administer Project Manager training program.
    • Ensure training and development is tied to performance management.
    • Administer certification study groups.
    • Administer Mentorship Program.

    ̈ Other

    • In conjunction with Marketing, develop and maintain strong communications pieces including Benefits Plans, Staff Guidebook, and Personnel Manual.

    Qualifications

    ● Bachelor's degree minimum.

    ● At least 10 years of related work experience. Knowledge of HR processes, laws, and regulations.

    ● Proven ability to exercise a high degree of confidentiality.

    ● Proven ability to be trusted by both leadership and staff.

    ● Exhibits drive for continuous improvement. Ability to identify needs and initiate creative approaches to developing programs/processes to address needs.

    ● A team player. Proven ability to work collaboratively both internally and externally to accomplish goals.

    ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to navigate difficult conversations effectively.

    ● Proven problem solver.

    ● Strong understanding of DEI issues and commitment to supporting an inclusive culture.
