Description
Reporting to the Director of Business Process and Systems Transformation, the analyst will support the Director to lead the realization of CyrusOne Accounting teams performance strategy by providing ongoing support to the multiple projects and programs during a multi-year journey to optimize it's accounting function.
The end goal is to support the implementation of an operating model that drives opimization of the accounting function across the organization.
The results will position the department for effective and efficient growth and enable the team to deliver consistent and accurate financial information to our decision makers and financial statement users.
For this high-impact role, we seek a results-oriented, creative self-starter to support the overarching Accounting function optimization strategy by creating detailed work product in various forms including process flows, operational desk references, creating training documentation including videos, maintaining documentation when updates or changes are made, organizing meetings, supporting financial systems, researching and identifying potential solutions and partners to assist in moving the organization to change, maintaining project documentation to manage various initiatives happening concurrently.
They will work in partnership with members across the accounting team and the broader organization, articulate and socialize the case for change, articulating why Accounting process and system optimization and a more effective operating model is critical to the success of a growing global company.
Actively communicate with and continuously involve business stakeholders throughout program journey working towards the goals as set forth by the Director and supported by both Accounting and organizational leaders.
This supporting role plays a significant part for transformative initiatives and project work and helps execute to mitigate risk while driving for intended benefits.
They will work with vendor relationships including helping to identify and drive direction and ensure outsource providers are performing.They will need to work effectively with functional teams to gather technical and functional expertise while working within the project.
Routine feedback to support dialogue with functional leaders regarding team member performance and take appropriate action steps as necessary. Identify and mitigate resource conflicts by identifying and prioritizing tasks.They will support execution of day-to-day project plan/activities; identifying and assisting in resolving day-to-day issues while helping to track program status, issues and risks.
They must work effectively with functional resources across the team to establish rapport and and support the management of project teams, while functional leaders (IT, HR, Procurement and Operations) remain responsible to provide needed expertise, standards and processes.
Responsibilities:
Partnering and assisting in setting and executing vision and strategy
Organizing, scheduling and working collaboratively to enact the direction as established by the Director of Transformation and key leadership in the organization
Managing, and holding accountable, the accounting team to timelines.
Ensuring the implementation of project scope, budget, change management and schedule and quality by facing and addressing change resistance as assisted by the Director of Transformation.
Accountability for realizing value from implementing both quick wins and mid/longer term initiatives.Delivering quality work at a detailed level including developing and performing project deliverables, process documentation, and other necessary work to move the organization towards their transformative goals.
Prioritizing detailed day to day as well as larger scope initiatives to ensure that ongoing requirments continue to be met and raising risks and concerns to Director of Transformation.
Work collaboratively alongside various areas of the organization to step into problems and assist with developing solutions to more efficiently and effectively meet organizational objectives.
Requirements:
BA/BS degree required, A degree in Accounting, Technology, Project Management, Business Management or a related field of study preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of related experience with proven track record, including strategic support of senior executives aligning Technology, change management, workforce, strategies with business priorities.
Demonstrated experience and previous success participating in project and process initiatives.Proven ability to manage time effectively with competing priorities and stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in working with diverse stakeholders and translating complex information across functions.
